"blue monday"

Apparently today is meant to be statistically the most depressing day or something like that. To be honest i've been quite happy, no complaints this end. I felt worse at the beginning of January, but I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel (!) and it's almost my birthday and lots of other events in the pipeline mean I have so much to look forward to and be happy about.

Today was actually quite good at work too. I was 1 in the 2 of 8 who actually made it in to the studio today. I'm practically a snow warrior darling. It meant it was a really quiet and chilled day and I had a load of work to get through so I just knuckled down and just got on with it. Sometimes its nice just to have days like that. I haven't had any food in my house either so started off the day by heading into Costa early for a honey, greek yoghurt and granola breakfast with a skinny vanilla latte. Hello.

So no drama or complaints from me this evening. In my spare time i've been forgetting there is a world outside of my Kindle. I'm currently reading The Half Life of Hannah by Nick Alexander which I've almost finished in 2 days, so it's a pretty good read. Also I've realised that 4od have finally put all the episodes of series 4 of Made in Chelsea up. I was gutted to miss all of the last series so i've been absolutely binging on it. It's SO good.

Ok so this next bit I guess is a bit of bait... I want to run past this trend to see if I get an overly negative reaction before I go for it... Watching Made in Chels so much has made me really want to try the big framed glasses trend. Question is, is it acceptable for normal people?

I do actually have to wear glasses in real life, as you know, but choose to wear contact lenses. And I do have some really nice sort of tan Ray Ban prescription frames. But if I am gonna dip into this trend I'd just get a pair of the fashiony ones and wear them over contact lenses.

Here's a few images of what I'm talking about - i.e inspiration from the fashion world, inspiration for the Chelsea world and some frames I've got my eyes on. (if you'll pardon the pun ;) )

Lots of possibly jumping on the frames bandwagon,
Becca xx
