A Post A Day whilst my Best Friend is Away

Hello Again!

Right. I am starting this blog again as a little personal project for the new year and also as a promise to one of my absolute best friends Hicks as she is off to the other side of the world for 12 months, taking a much bigger adventure than I would have had the courage to! Hicks I know how much you loved reading this blog when I kept it up to date, so babe this is so that you can hear my whiney voice all the way from over there, down under. I hope you are having an absolute blast out there.

I have hidden my old posts - for reasons you probably all know and are thankful for haha, and set it up out in the public on Facebook and Twitter as a proper blog, rather than the old select few. And so this is a new start, new tactics, new content. Although I will definitely keep it to the real blog everyone knows me for... dramatic, cringe-worthy and sensational (in the bad sense, of course.)

As the official start to Hicks going away is tomorrow, for now I will just share with you some images of my Christmas and New Year. I hope you all had a good one too.

Highlights were being back as a complete Smith family under the same roof again | drinking mulled wine before church | creating a new reunion christmas pub tradition | wanting to go back to the old tradition | eating more food than should be possible | getting my first christmas bonus | drinks and nibbles with our neighbour | hitting the christmas eve sales | wrapping presents with special accessories bought in london markets | christmas shopping on Oxford Street | boxing day theatre | lots of roses chocolates | dinner table quizes | four glasses of bucks fizz before 11am | getting ridiculously drunk in leicester for new year | marks and spencers take aways | hilarious photographs the morning after | snuggling up in front of the fire with my kindle | still being completely drunk the day after

The photographs from both New Years eve and Hicks leaving night were exhaustingly funny.

Anyway, I hope this is the start of an excellent year for a refreshed blog.
Lots of keeping an Australian posted love,
Becca
