a bit of drama

Last night I had a very lazy evening. After sending David off on his way back to Ipswich - so strange not being the one getting on the train - I settled in for a night catching up on the last two episodes EVER of One Tree Hill!

One Tree Hill's been a huuuge part of i'd say the past 5 years, possibly more? I've not been watching from when they first started filming it over 10 years ago. Instead I borrowed box sets and got stupidly obsessed with it and have been discussing it, particularly to David's annoyance, ever since! I absolutely love the first few series, possibly 1 and 3 are my faves. It went a bit downhill from series 5 onwards, but i've seen past that because of the additional fiiiit characters and how much hotter Nathan Scott has become.

On my 21st birthday this year, David bought me series 2, 3 and 4 (already had series 1 and 5, obviously.) Although this put a bit of a strain on my degree, I managed to re-watch all of these within about a month and so i've become slightly more obsessed in the past few months. So watching the two final episodes felt pretty emotional and it really felt like the end of another era.

Lets be honest though, i'll probably end up circulating the whole set of box sets again within a few months...

And then this morning I had my own drama without the good looking cast and Lucas Scott to come comfort me, wah. Last night there was a burglary in the house next door to us. We live in a bungalow so the burglary was right next to where I was in bed. I wasn't asleep when it happened and so I could all of a sudden here popping sounds and someone lugging something literally right outside my window. I panicked so I turned my light off but then I convinced myself I was imagining it and eventually forced myself to sleep.

But then this morning it turns out that the popping was the breaking of glass and the poor old ladies house next door had been broken into. Thank god she wasn't in so she isn't hurt, but it sounds like the awful person outside my window had spent a lot of time in the house and taken quite a lot of stuff. Disgusting.

I'm really annoyed at myself, that I didn't go and get my parents and was too scared to do anything about it at the time. But at least everyone stayed safe and I was able to tell the police the time of the incident and what i'd heard. It's ridiculous that I've been living in one of the roughest parts of Leeds for a year and it only took a few days back in my little village for a burglary to happen next door. It just shows things like this happen everywhere and I guess anyones house is a target.

So a pretty dramatic evening/morning...

Lots of dramatic love,
Becca xx
