it's been weeks, what the hell have i been doing?!
right so last saturday was our first official big night out back in the lestaaaaa big city for xmas!
woop woop :)
it started off with a few polite 'prinks' in haytor to warm us up for the backstreets and alleys, but it never takes us buffet babes too long for the drama to kick in ;)
firstly we met "victor" - thats definitely not his name, but he likes to use it on his taxi radio thing "VICTOR, OVER." ...pretty much a glorified stage name.
bowler got a friend request on facebook after the usual bit of cheeky taxi driver banter ;) ...more on victor later.
then we met up with chazza d and amy francis for some brief, very pricey drinks in the lovely fat cats cafe, then went and had a little less classy drinks at a rammo'ed walkabout!
from what i can remember from walkabout...i'm pretty sure we had a fair few shots and drinks, absolutely ripped up the little dancefloor, met a few cheeky elfs, a guy who literally was going for the dancemoves, a very odd flirty guy in a patterned jumper, and a photographer who got jumped on. oh and a few old ladies that looked awkward to even be in the same room as half of the crowd, let alone on the dancefloor.
managed to take my coat off and leave it and then get in back again, so i was very impressed.
then after becoming suitably hammered, we headed back to the back roads to find our new fave, marz bar. could not love it more these days, well under-rated, although i've never been there sober so i couldn't tell you what the kind of scene it is inside, and what the crowds like...
anyway after getting inside we worked a few cheeky lines at the bar and found ourselves in the company of 3 lovely gents...
maybe i should leave it there...but amelia pulled a grenade for the team and lorenzo found herself with a right hunky australian meanwhile belinda found herself being bought drinks by a very attractive fella ;)
hahaaaaa. by the time we were being asked to leave, amelia could barely stand. we literally were having to drag her upright, but it's fine 'cos at the top of the stairs..."WHERE SHALL WE GO NOW?" classic buffet babe behaviour, i was so proud.
so naturally, we got a stamp to a place we've never heard of. followed whoever was standing in front of us and found ourselves in yet another back venue of leicester.
bowler of course nosedived it as soon as she got into the place... standard ;)
and i lost everyone thinking they we upstairs in the biggest, weirdest dancefloor you could possibly fit in that place.
but eventually we left, for somewhere 17miles out of leicester, cool.
but me and amy smelt maryland chicken, and theres no turning away when that happens... so it quickly turned into maryland followed by an encounter on route to mc-donalds...
"...you taste ..lovely..."
and got an ear-bashing from a very disappointed lorenzo in maccy-dees.
then a brief 343545656324343545 hours wait in the minus a million degree's weather (amy had lost her tights by now. decided she was warm enough in december without them ;) hahaa "JUST TAKE 'EM OFF!") and eventually got picked up by "victor!"
literally my faaaaave taxi driver ever.
1. plays personal mix-tape cd's on demand. was it jason derulo's album? fully can't remember..
2. banter a-plenty.
3. instantly adds passengers on facebook.
4. very amusing remarks about people walking down the street
5. buys a lighter and lets you smoke in the cab
6. listens to request banter and actually bought us a bottle of coke
whatta guy. fully completed the night!
another classic buffet babe night :) absolutely love them. bring on summer 2011, i can't begin to think what us girls in a foreign country for a week will get up too ;) pahahaa!
anyway, in other news.
i have had a lovely past week.
it has obviously been christmas :) i had a lovely day thank-you. i've been working loads so it felt genuinely really nice just to spend a few days chilling out at home with the family. gran was down from scotland too, so it was lovely to see her and spend some time with her too :)
i went to see the king and i with her and mum last night too, at the new(ish) theatre in leicester. i LOVE a musical, so it was lovelyyyy, and the romance in it was so nice to watch. i love a good costume too, and it was well interesting to see all the backstage stuff when they open it up at the end too...all part of the building's design. loved it.
and last tuesday was really nice too. had a yummy meal with the whole gang (minus grace :( ) and lots of really nice cocktails too. very civilized for us, it made a lovely change from gynsills! haha!
then i hit mosh with the rest of the entire alumni and present population of groby college!
it was absolutely wicked to catch up with some of them! i love seeing mates i don't really get the chance to fully meet up and catch up with, so that was really really good! but there were a couple of people that really disappointed me on how rude they were.
not gonna' mention there names but old friends don't behave like that, you should be ashamed and start being more polite, complete bitches.
oh and i did get too too drunk and then had a whine and got a bit upset over something that absolutely means nothing haha! standard drunk becca behaviour! must stop this.
but yeah...update complete.
i'm back to work 2moro, woop...
but got a massive nye night planned with my buffet baaaaabes ♥ and went shopping and got a fit new dress to wear for it today :) so i'm fully excited for that.
got myself a new blackberry today too...but it doesn't work, loving that, because my old phone runs out of contract tomorrow, so i'll be back to square one again. 2 phones. no working sim.
lovely lovely. haaa.
anyway, niiiiiiight.
