life is for living not living up tight

"Lollipops turn into cigarettes. The innocent ones turn into sluts. Homework goes in the trash. Mobile phones are being used in class. Detention becomes suspension. Soda becomes vodka. Bikes become cars. Kisses turn into sex. Remember when getting high meant swinging on the playground? When protection meant wearing a helmet? When the worst things you could get from boys were cooties? Dad’s shoulders were the highest place on earth and mum was your hero? Your worst enemies were your siblings. Race issues were about who ran the fastest. War was only a card game. And the only drug you knew was cough medicine. When wearing a skirt didn’t make you a slut. The most pain you felt was when you skinned your knees, and goodbyes only meant until tomorrow? And we couldn’t wait to grow up"

i found this on one of those stupid facebook groups that really irritate me. it's title was "add me if you agree" and it had a counter to try and get to like a million fans. what's the point? what are they trying to prove, it doesn't make you any better a person for reaching that?! it really winds me up.
but this one has a really nice message actually and it is true. i do really remember the days when i couldn't wait to be grown up.

tonight i'm going out on the razz :)
i love it.. getting glammed up, drinking just a little too much, dancing away, silly antics, toasties! haha!
sometimes i love meeting that new person that puts a smile on your face.
but sometimes i think it's easiter not to meet them.
valentines day's coming and again i have no plans.
i watched 500 days of summer the other night and i loved this quote:

"...you can't ascribe great cosmic significance to a simple earthly event. Coincidence. That's all anything ever is. Nothing more than coincidence."

i'm leaving everything to coincidence. living rather than hoping :)
