kings and queens of promise

i've had a laaavley weekend thanks.

yesterday particularly, i feel like i've cheered myself up fully :)

friday night i treated myself for working the whole day by going to the german market yet again (i really can't get enough of that gem of a place) with jess, paddy and jess' housemates! after quite a lot of table hanging tactics we finally secured a booth!

i still loved the atmosphere in there, nothing like a bit of table banging with our tankards and a good german sausage hot-dog!

then i hit vodka rev's with some of the 62 girls and then joined by the 62 boys.

unfortunately i yet again hit mardy drunk becca, but i think that was just because when i'm drunk i feel more open about talking about it. and really i should just shut-the-f- up, but it felt better to tell the girls how i'm really feeling.

anyway we got chips then walked back in a bilzzard of snow! so cold, but lovely and xmassy :)

then saturday was slow and unproductive.

i don't think i literally did anything...

and yesterday was great.

we braved the well icy streets to pop up to headingly for a sainsburys and errands outing and went and had a creme brule latte in costas.

whilst we were in there there was yet another blizzard which was so nice to watch sitting on a sofa drinking the yummiest coffee!

then in the evening, me bec and chlo went to st. george's annual contemporary carols, which was so great! it's the first time i've been and the music was fab! it felt good for the girls to see the church that i've been going to for the past almost year now too.

and theres nothing better than the first mince pie and mulled wine of the season! :)

so overall a lovely weekend.

i'm not really looking forward to this week. i have so much work to do in preparation for these deadlines. and past xmas day itself, theres not much i'm fully looking forward to... i need some exciting plans please!

ok so since my last post i have worked pretty solidly. we had a marketing report due in midday today and had the most stressful build up to it all day yesterday, trying to get it all sorted and printed properly.

our university is awful at the printing system, it costs so much!

but eventually it was handed all in today and out the way, woop!

don't know whether any of my group will be reading, but thaaanks for all the team-work guys :)

anyway after that pretty full on day i went to alpha with tash. which was really nice i always have such a good time there and get so much from it. i can honestly say i'm really growing each time i go and it makes me so much happier, coming out of it with that bit more knowledge and understanding. everyone there is so lovely too.

then i decided to sneak in a cheeky pint at the pub with jess, jamie and tom...and peg turned up (may aswell not..!) at the end for a quick one and then the compulsory chips.

which brings me on to today...

had a quieter one today, its mostly been time planning and allocating to-do lists to the limited number of days left before literally deadline central. i went to the cafe i love upstairs in the union, but really didn't have enough money to spend on a coffee so i just sat. then had a web-session...the less said about those the better, although good banter :)

then yet again i decided to sneak in a cheeky pint at the old bar downstairs in the union with some of the web guys, which was nice.

although shouldn't have spent the money...

...or the time i should have used to go and get a print cartridge so i could actually do the work i've got stacks of.

but yeah. not very interesting, but im trying to get back into doing this :)

i'm excited for xmas. but i've just realised in total i will be spending 6 weeks back in leicester. minus 1 day for an exam...that's an age. university really doesn't last long at all, does it.

cheeky update!

time is making it impossible to keep up with this blog! grrrrr!

okay so at the moment i'm on a bit of a rollercoaster.

we all have a bit of a laugh at how i can get a bit mardy...mardy beccaaaaaa ;) but at the moment all the stress of work and then other personal things getting me upset means that i do think i'm struggling a bit to keep happy at the moment.

last weekend though was amaaaazing.

i absolutely love when my mum comes to visit...

she took me food shopping and got me loads of yummy food (much needed as i have no moneeyy!) then she took me actual shopping, which was great as i got a fab new coat (so warm and doesn't even look like a duvet...result!) and a snood! (not gonna wear it up tho ;)!

then my brother came to stay with the boiiiis!

they missed the bus which meant i missed getting to see harry potter. NOT COOL.

but i had such a laugh with everyone at the german market instead :)

-german market btw...AMAZING. such a good atmosphere! ive already been 4 times. (only twice inside the beer tent though. such fun times!)

so my brother and the boys tried to get out into tiger, but that wasn't very successful so instead we went to varisty.

lets just leave it at...the crowd was interesting in there.

andy being chased across the dancefloor by a very enthusiastic gay guy, was one of the funniest things ive seen on nights out this year. absolute gold.

anyway we also spent a lot of time chilling out, and went and had a lovely huge cooked breakfast in citrus. fully recommend it!

i was so sad when they all left. but me and some of the 62 girls pulled off our first official prank of the year on sam's room.

think selotape hammock...on the roof...covered in shit, including a banana, underwear and a condom. ooohhhh yeah! ;)

but personal things going on meant i couldn't stay up to see his reaction. so had an early night.

monday night this week i fully needed to cheer myself up so i decided to hit warehouse with some of the 62 gang, a few off of law and a cheeky spaniard! haha!

thats as much as i can tell you about the night really.

going out, telling yourself you need to get absolutely slaughtered off alcohol is so dangerous. i'm never doing it again. i have no memory of the night. my phone was found in macdonalds halfway across town by a creep named abdhul...claiming absolutely horrific things about me.

aaand everyone in my contacts recieved an invitation from me to have a 3 way?!

meanwhile i was passed out at home with sick on my leg.

i'm ashamed of the state i was in. but its really made me think about how i handle things, i'm never getting drunk like that again. it terrifies me to think what could have happened.

anyway!

bit of an essay today whoops.

all thats left to mention really is i watched "any human heart" last night, the new channel 4 drama. absolutely incredible, right up my street and the cast in it is amazing!

also i miss the leicester girls so much and can't wait to see you all at xmas.

but it does make me a bit scared to realise how quickly this year at uni's already passing by! i so don't want this year to end. who knows where i'll be next year and how many more people i could possibly lose touch with!

...guess i'll just start learning to take things as they come.

because at the moment. caring the way that i do just gets me fucked over anyway...

friday night, me and the 62 bunch, minus tom went to vic's 20th wig night!

i was gonna buy a bright blue one a la katy perry but i chicken'd out and instead just bought a long blonde curly one!

i looked absolutely ridiculous.

think...man in drag or...absolute pamela anderson style slag.

...or me. back when i tried to dye my hair blonde...ginger...

hahaaa, but it was such a laugh with everyone wearing wigs!

we played some drinking games in 62

then went to the arc to have a few too many cheap jagerbombs...

then we all hit a pretty empty gatecrasher

i had such a good dance on the dancefloor after finding out about "2 DOUBLES FOR 2.50!" and absolutely rinsing them 'til i only had enough left for chips haha.

i love being out with everyone from the house, such a funny night.

chlo managed to stack it crossing the road for chips, not suprising tho' considering her drunken levels from even leaving 62 from predrinks..."shotgun NOT CW."

and i had the yummiest chips beans and cheese that i would no way share with ANYBODY.

hahaa, then we got home and realised we had no money to pay for the taxi, thank god dean was there to bail us out.

then had a heart to heart with char, both in tears sobbing in my bed haha

then livened up a bit for a big 62 sleepover in char's bed.

lovely, lovely.

i'm back!

i hate myself for neglecting this blog.

i've started a new design blog, which is part of my graphic design course to promote myself into the design industry.

to be honest i do love writing and posting about things that actually matter, haha! but it's taking all the time i'd normally spend posting stuff on this :(

these past days have been reaaally good.

theres been halloween and bonfire night.

there's been housemates and coursemates and miscellaneous mates.

there's been lots of laugh and banter.

there's been lots of really good photos.

there's been lots of drink...

there's been lots and lots of work getting done (i've finally started to knuckle down)

there's been lots of dressing up.

and there's been lots of chilling out.

i'm still absolutely loving being in leeds. i really can't explain how good it is and how much i love everyone here.

this has been a bit of a rubbish and vague blog post, sorry!

but now that i'm going to keep on top of it more, i should remember to post after really good nights out and stuff.

so until then... :)

P.S we got a house pet fish "OH, Neil the Fish." but it died whilst i was napping today... it only lasted 3 days. rest in peace you poor poor fishy.

...and with a certain other thing.. i'm trying not to give a shit, but i do miss how things were. and i hate it.
