these past few days i've been on 2 birthday meals

had plenty of drinks, either in town, at pubs/bars or on the field

had an amazing night out dancing to tons of classic pop anthems in geek glasses

and had countless catch ups with people i haven't seen in aaages.

it's been wicked!

i've either bumped into people or met up with them, but it makes you realise how many people you miss from leicester and how nice it is when you get back in touch (: it's lovelyyy!

this week i'm going to try a sober week.

i think i need it, last week i got at least "tipsy" 6 out of 7 days. my liver's probably not finding it cool, and neithers my bank balance...

it has been a fab week tho (:

and it means this week doesn't sound too fun haha... i'm sure we'll find other amusements

-like exercise perhaps?! it's been about a week since i've swam, ran or really done anything.

so i'm getting straight on the treadmill now (:

these past few days have been so niceee :)

yesterday i hit the bullring and birmingham with bowler for a cheeky day out shopping!

we definately spent the day, hahaa didn't get home 'til half eleven due to having lost a bet and our terrible travel planning skills.

we shopped and shopped then had an all day brunch and attempted to watch the football in a crammed spoons. amy had to put her face in a man's crotch to work out who had scored ;)

we shopped some more, then we lost a bet and had to go out on a little adventure to visit dan in sutton!

sutton park is lovely, sat and had chilled fruit ciders watched the sailing, so nice! :)

and after a few hours chilling out in the sun and catching up, we realised we should well get back, to realise the train was well later than expected, whoooops. hahaa!

today i have lazed around all morning and then went to see another design show.

some of the work was amaaazing, im so inspired. i'm gonna' do a bit of designy stuff tonight i think, loving this inspired phase! the graphics work was so good, and the fashion was incredible, i'm so jealous of some people's talent. there was some amazing photography work too.

i'm gonna' get planning a little day trip to london possibly next week to cram a few more design show and exhibition viewings. i can't get enough of seeing such amazing work.

and i do love adventures :) hopefully adventures to manc and the beach are coming soon too!

up in the clouds

currently blogging from the garden, how lovely, i'm getting a bit into this summer weather!

i've had such a lazy weekend, it's been a bit rubbish really.

friday was better. went for an afternoon shopping in leicester with mum :) got a few nice dresses and some flowers for my hair. it's become a bit of a hair do staple since, it makes me feel so much more summery. friday night was gooood too! was invited out with trina and her mannn, who i am now right bestmates with after telling him 5 facts about me. and met his group of mates who all seem lovely :) shame england are shit, resulting in too many drinks to then be home by half ten. booo! haha had some classic chip shop banter before we toddled off though!

saturday i did absolutely nothing. was planning on going out, but it didn't happen. instead i opted for a nice night in with the parents pahaha. not too bad tho, the wine's free and watched a dvd! had a top curry too, i did miss the good ol' famous indian/chinese smith nights.

we watched "glorius '39" which was gooood. it was a bit of an under-rated film i've never heard of, but it had some of the actresses from atonement in it, so they were good and there was a stunning red dress which completely stole the film. think it must have a valentino, i'm well gonna research into it!

today, as most days.. i have woken up gone 12, and just lazed about.

it's been nice sun-bathing but i do really need to get out of leicester. i'm well missing the freedom of being at uni, everything seems to take ten times the effort out down here just to see friends or go shopping or swimming or go on a night out. it's taking a lot to adjust back to it. and i am missing everybody :(

i've got some shifts though for the next few months which will be so good, i'm starting to worry a bit about the whole caaaash flow haha. i'm not working non-stop either, theres plenty of breaks so there's plenty of time scattered about to still have hilarious gang meet-up days at braggers or down the locals :)

...and it's less than a month now 'til corfu 2010. bring on kv!! and theres a new holiday planned to see everyone up in scotland. och aiiiiiii!

i've finished one tree hill season seven and as usual it was perfect, i love that programme so so much, it's so beautifully written! the last episode was like ideal, everyone was so happy until the horrible cliffhanger. bring on season eight!

the soundtrack to this season was paticularly aaamazing

i've well got a new band crush on wakey!wakey!

i've just watched the film-documentary, "Valentino - The Last Emperor"

i loved every second of it.

ever since my sixteenth birthday when i first started getting into fashion and bought my first Vogue magazine, i realised Valentino was definitely my favourite fashion house.

so i was so excited when i heard about this little gem of a film :)

he's such a genuine genius of a designer, i love him, he's so funny and demanding and short tempered! and one day it'd be an absolute dream to own one of his evening dresses.

the documentary was such an inspiring and interesting account of his lifestyle

and organising his 45 year anniversary celebrations and shows.

i found his demand for everything he designs and the manner of his fashion direction for women to always look "beautiful" such a strong and inspiring idea. if everyone dressed like that today, then how different would we all be!

oh and the film also makes me soooo want to go to rome. it's the last fashion capital city i've really not been to, other than Milan. but i'd love to go and visit all those amazing old buildings and see all the culture. take me pleeeease :)

anyway, bit of a geeky blog post today, whoops hahaaa!

had my first dedicated, 'stay in the house and chill' day today.

it's the most boringboringboring thing ever, definitely not gonna' make a habit of it!

but its the first time i've really had to though

ive been hanging out with the leicester girlies, mainly drinking and chatting all about our uni lives, getting the gossss and moaning about how different its gonna' be being back home :(

the past few days have involved..

drinks at the local pub

spending the afternoon drinking and a lovely meal at firebug

catching two buses over to bowlerrrrs

webcam photos and pizza wraps

bike ride through braggers

it's getting late but i don't mind

aaaa i'm back home :(currently sitting in bed writing this, feeling again a little bit sorry for myself being back, but i really should snap out of this and get into the summmmmmer spirit!

my last few days of the fresher year were aaaamazing.

particularly summer ball which was literally so gooood.

didn't get in 'til 7.30am and which mean it was literally about 12 hours of summer ball goodness hahahaa!

i about got murdered at the barrier of florence + the machine - it's so brutal up there, my feet and arms are so bruised! but she was so good live, it really didn't matter!

had drinks and danced with everyone, looking very lovely in our posh gear :)

and stayed right 'til then end raving it up to an aaamazing set from the scratch perverts

it's ashame i didn't meet up with the graphics lot, and most of the 103 guys couldn't come but the people i did spend it with made it such a nice way to end the freshers year :)

lets hope next year will be just as perfect as freshers, people always say your uni years are the best years of your life. i can completely understand :)

moving out of 103 was awful, i HATED packing away my room, i literally felt so depressed emptying my room away, it's like clearing away all those happy memories. but i'm well excited for the house next year, bring on more good times guys!

now i'm back i really don't know what to do with myself for these next 3 months. it's such a change i think it's gonna' take a while to adjust to being back living at home but i know the leicester gang will make it such a fun summer, i love you allll, lets get planning some amazing times. last summer i made a to do list i wanted to do over the summer so here's another one for this year. i guess some of it will be the same kinda' things...

2. buy a new camera so i can capture all the summer's good memories

3. sip cocktails by the pool in kaloudis village, of course!

4. visit some of the amazing galleries and exhibitions happening in london

5. go visit uniclooo in london and see lee mead in wicked!

6. go fishing in bradgate just like the old days :)

7. spend hours chilling and chatting on the trampoline

8. buy lots of lovely decorations and furnishings for my new room and house

9. find some new bars and clubs to make nights out in leicester more bearable!

10. plenty and plenty of shopping for a new wardrobe

11. hit the home gym loads for a nice summer bikini bod ;)

12. visit everyone from uni in their home townsss

13. visit the leicester girls' new houses

14. work lots to get some cash to be able to afford all of this activity!

15. check out the new pool nearby to get my swimming back up to scratch

16. work on some personal briefs to get my portfolio going

17. take a day trip to the beach

18. find a replacement series for one tree hill, i'm thinking desperate housewives

19. go for "gang" meals, gynnies? ;)

20. learn to cook - it's getting silly how rubbish i am.

didn't even get round to saying i just watched Tom Ford's "A Single Man"

it's such an arty/alternative film with a clear fashion designers eye for small details and romantic shots, but i was really inspired by it. please take me back to sixties, the style is stunning.

all the roads we have to walk

it's been AAAAAAGES since ive blog posted, gaaaawd.

i think this is the longest ive even gone without posting, and it means i definately can't carry on with that days of summer plan, i already can't remember exactly what went on on each day, but i do know they have been aaaamazing.

chilled out days with friends, shopping, swimming, drinking of course, and just general summer happiness :)

david just left today from a little 3 day visit to leeds :) we had a laugh and i wanted him to see how much fun i'm having up here and meet everyone properly! plus he sneaked into his first under-aged night out, well done little bro, i'm very prouddd!

had some very fun nights out aswell as relaxing days, saturday was the pirate otley run for char's bday. SO fun, i can't tell you how much i enjoyed it, such a laugh doing all the challenges and all being together :)

now its the start of people leaving. i've still got a few nights to look forward to, but i'm already so sad it's coming to an end of freshers year and i have to go back to leicester for 3 months!

i'm currently listening to florenceee, so so excited to see her at freshers ball, bring it on!
