& the second part to a passionate woman was as expected a bit of a downer since the first part. not enough of the hottie and hardly any good styles from the era. it's the 80's though so what can you do, and the story was a bit slow and boring. everything was just too dull compared to her life as a young 20 year old having romantic affairs with foreigners and going out dancing.

i often watch old people and think i hope i never become as dull as that.

in my job, it is the lovely eldery dears that still think and behave young that make me laugh and smile. that's how i hope to live. so that the second part of my drama won't be so dull :)

i am over-reacting slightly. the woman in the programme was threatening to jump of a roof. that's not that dull. Bx

i found you finally

01. today has been not the planned day of 2 journals essays on my chockka block revision schedule. i went completely off the rails and started tommorows work today. woah i'm mad me. it's cos i realised i wasn't gonna' get the chance to trek it into town this week for a bit of retail therapy so ironically i thought there'd be time to shop online. 2 hours and a bit later, 50pounds worth of new clothes are being shipped my way courtesy of asos :) mint! but not any essays done so i fled the mac!

02. "a passionate woman" bbc one two part drama.

this started on sunday night and honestly its the best thing ive watched on tv in a looong time! its beautifully set in the depressed 40's era, so the style is divine! billie piper is really good in it, but gosh the male lead is stunning. and i didn't realise until i sat down watching it that its all set in hyde park, leeds, which is like exactly where i live when in uni! loving it, definitely can't wait for next weeks part although this time it's set in the 80's so probably not gonna' be that into it.

03. i had the most amazing weekend last week. nottingham and melton on thursday, leicester with char and bowler on friday then leicester again on sat with laura, fat and kat j :) i loved it all soooo many laughs yet so many drinks for my poor liver! can't believe how much i enjoyed mosh on saturday, probably cos we were all a mess but it was just so good to see everyone! i had rather knotted mess hair though, i apologize. still managed to attract us girls daniel radcliffe from the other side of wetherspoons though. aaaaa!

o4. i need to diet. the post-easter sort. literally i wouldn't be suprised if they pulled a whole chocolate baby from my tummy. i need to hit the pool again, it's been almost a year and i used to love it so much.

drinks with the girls, having a laugh, catch-ups, family meals, coffee's, work, shopping and that cheeky trip to new york of course have been totally distracting me. time to get to it, work work work!

curiouser and curiouser

its been a week since i've posted and been properly back home for easter! it's absolutely flying by and i've still barely touched my literal stack of work i need to do!

i need to keep up with my blog posting too! this is whats been going on :)

o1. i'm well missing new york. people keep asking me about it, and i don't know what i miss most, the sunbathing and people watching in a heat-wave ridden central park, looking out over the whole of new york from the top of the rockefeller centre or walking across brooklyn bridge taking in the whole new york skyline. the uk really does have nothing spectacular like that, we just have rain in london...and i don't even live nearly near enough to that!

02. i went to my first football match my first night back in my home city! lcfc is pretty dire. we got free tickets, wooo ;) but not sure i'd pay to watch it that often if they always play like that. i was loving the atmosphere though, i love the cheering and everything in the stands, rugby wasn't quite like that so it was coooool to see :)

03. sunday night i hit town with the girliess! wore some new heels and my new skirt and hit a new club, well new to us... not sure i was that impressed but had a fun night and a good catch up! the drinks were a pound which should have been amazing, but the bar was rammed so we only managed 1 vk... oh dearrr! and queued for ages with some quite young 'uns! we threw a few moves on the dancefloor tho ;)

04. alice in wonderland! i went with the 'rents on an orange wednesday outing and loved it! loved the whole surreal thing and the hilarious little animals. we rented revolutionary road the other night too, which was really good at giving me a huge crush on leonardo dicaprio but the storyline and music in the film wasn't that good. i do wish i lived in the 50's tho! i love the style of that era...i've lived in such rubbish decades for style!

o5. andrews back on tv! i LOVE the hero that is lloyd webber as you all know, so i'm well excited for his return. some of the new dorothys are so good, i think this series will be gooood. i was a bit disappointed all the way through the audition shows though, because i got an audition and chose not to go to not inevitably embarrass myself big timee, but i really wanted to meet himm :( maybe next year? hahaaa

o6. ive been doing a full week at work this week. full times really tiring and hard, but i do enjoy it. i like seeing the regulars and giving strangers a smile and a hello and helping them out :) loving the day off tommorow tho! i cannot wait for a lie in! get in!
