this week has been such an improvement on last week.

i wasn't that happy last week, had little to do and was left thinking about things too much and missed being in corfu unbearably!

this week tho'

i've had:

♥ a shopping trip - always cheers me up!

♥ tons of catching up with the mates :)

♥ some hilarious trial student cooking - sausage fajitas + rocky road

♥ a girly pub night

♥ tennis

♥ snacks at the bench

and theres more plans for the rest of the week.

i wish it would hurry up, or just go away! 23 days, lord help me!

the calm before the storm

i've had to give up last weeks happiness in my favourite place in the world
to be back in boring leicester, with barely anything to do or occassions where people can meet up!

but ive realised this is the calm before the storm.
i can't predict whats gonna happen in these next few months
i'm gonna' face harder goodbyes and possibly begin new favourite memories and places.
so perhaps i should be grateful i'm stuck at home, because it gives me those few days i need to prepare myself!

i'm excited, but good lord it would be easier to be back playing ball in the pool.

it's horrible how much i miss it, i can't even bring myself to turn my time back to english time on my phone, because i like to think about what i'd be doing if i was still there.

right now?
i'd be playing a game of pool rather staying indoors for a siesta.

i had such a good holiday there, it's just hardly even describable.

chupa-chups by the pool -- bat-the-ball sesh's -- bingo night -- whacking the ipod up poolside -- a trip with aileen over the hill to the other resort -- greek food -- the greek waiters in tavernas -- winning cocktails at the quiz --beautiful sea view from our balcony -- being bitten by a fish -- sunbathing with a good book about new york -- people watching at the pool -- being trashed at pool but being taught how to be better by billy -- buying snacks to eat before dinner -- cheeky malibu's whilst getting ready -- swimming in the freezing sea -- being told a shopkeepers life story -- accidentally walking down to the nudist section -- phigo the dog -- sevens-up tournaments at the bar -- turtle garden -- being driven to the airport by older billy -- buying and living in a sun-hat in tribute to mj -- being curious behind the bar on the last night -- making new greek friends, jimmy, billy and the older billy and jimmy's greek friend of course -- listening to greek buskers -- having a laugh as a family -- having literally everything rearranged by the "cleaners"

this is just a selection of my high-lights.
i've never been so sad to come home, but there was literally no faults or anything wrong with that holiday at all and how many places in the world can offer that?
i miss it so much, its like a new empty feeling. england just is awful, there's nothing here.
i can't wait for next year, bring on on the 5th trip, arrilas '10.

the other day i went to see "my sister's keeper"

and honestly it's the most moving film ive seen in my life.

i cried in the cinema, and even welled up when i got home just thinking it over.

it really made me think about things to do with my life.

i need to do something voluntary, or do something for charity, especially for leukemia

and im an absolute dickhead for just always doing things to help me reach my own goals

but i forget completely about how much pain and suffering other people go though

it's just the luck of the draw and these people don't get the chance to even dream.

i've been utterly selfish and im gonna' start by donating blood at least.

i love sleeping in the day, but hate the sick daytime sleep feeling you get on awaking

i love bbqs and chilling out in a cool renovated shed
i love dancing about til the early hours
i love the sprinkler, the crustacion and the lawnmower
i love singing in the taxi
i love sleeping in the buchanan suite
